Gylen Landscape 2

One starting point  in the exhibition in the Barn Gallery at St John's is the series of paintings carried out during the Covid lockdown. This painting returns to the windswept features of the Inner Hebrides in Scotland. The wildness is exciting. The weather is not. The two paintings in this series draw on the visit that resulted in a completely different approach to the island as set out under the theme of colouration. Perhaps the mood had changed.
